What IT Means TO Flame ON OUR Herpes Forum

At some point on your internet journey you will probably come across the term “flame” or “to flame” somebody. What we’ve done is put together a working informal definition of the word “flame” so that everybody on Picking Up the Pieces (PUP) can familiarize themselves with this term and understand that participation in flaming will not be tolerated.

TO FLAME, FLAMED or FLAMING

• To make insulting criticisms or remarks, as on a computer network, to incite anger.

• To insult or criticize provokingly, as on a computer network.

Private flaming of other members is not tolerated off this list, anymore than it would be tolerated in public on-list. Flaming of others is childish and counterproductive at best and is certainly not welcome here in any form.

If you are presently receiving inflammatory e-mails from another list member OR if you should receive such e-mails in the future, please forward the offensive e-mails to the group moderators and we will see what we can do to help.

We ask that you place a link to Picking Up the Pieces from your site BEFORE you attempt to self-promote. The PUP Moderators have the right to decline or refuse any promotional post or link at any time for any reason. PUP is provided to you as a labor of love by volunteers.
