Back in 1997 a friend of mine who's MIL is into alternatives sent me some colloidal silver and a book to read. Talk about making a bunch of promises. Reading each page of the book made it seem as though you could use colloidal silver for just about everything that went wrong including strep throat.

I remember that was around the time I was into my own experimental remedies trying everything from L-lysine to avoiding eating chocolate and pop corn of all things. Well, the colloidal silver did not work for me and I still have herpes.

The only thing that ever did me any good was to go on suppressive therapy for two years with Valtrex. I don't understand why folks are so afraid to what has been clinically proven to work. And no, you don't have to take it for the rest of your life and no, there is no such thing as your body becoming immune to Valtrex either.

I never have understood why people don't take more time to do their homework.

I hope this thread helps to serve folks looking for answers. I think that's a big reason why I have created so many different polls on so many different products.

Thanks for those links Hugo... I'm going to add those to my list!
