Technically speaking it could be a scam if people were trying to use it for their genital herpes outbreaks.

I'm using it now, but being my first OB it's hard to have a baseline or know how well it's working. It may be a while before I get an opinion, but I'll post here when I do.

I gotta say, I hate this stuff. It burns like crazy when you put it on and seems to generally piss off the affected area. Maybe it works great for HSV-1, but it doesn't work for me down below with HSV-2. In fact, it does seem to make it worse.

I've got some Choraphor coming this afternoon, we'll see if it lives up to the hype.

Abreva is not something that you want to use on genital herpes outbreaks. It was never intended to be a treatement for genital herpes type-1 OR genital herpes type-2. It's only to be used for oral herpes outbreaks.

As for the Choraphor I can't wait to get your feedback on THAT one. I have heard that it's pretty good for dealing with the pain and I know that my friend Gayla uses choraphor while she is waiting for her Valtrex to kick in.

Abreva works very well, and very fast on my mild oral outbreaks; helps healing time on genital outbreaks, although not as effective as i'd like.

You're not supposed to use Abreva on your genital outbreaks. In fact, it's not recommended at all.
