United Kingdom H Pal

Angi was diagnosed with Herpes and HPV in September 1988 and lived with the diagnosis in silence with exception of close family, friends, and of course partners. In 2000 Angi purchased her first computer and discovered the wealth of knowledge available on the Internet. Angi also discovered the information she had been given in 1988 was now completely invalid and began spending a great deal of time updating her knowledge on the topics of Herpes and HPV. Angi has maintained a strong belief that knowledge is power.

Angi found and joined numerous online herpes support sites and groups, and through these she became more and more knowledgeable and continued to build a confidence in her own situation.

Angi was convinced by many online herpes friends to attend the National Indy Gathering in June 2001. It was there that she became determined that the UK should and would have a better support network than currently existed. Angi became a moderator in the UK H Group where the occasional weekend get together is formed, where those in the UK can jointly discuss the problems and how each has overcome them. Angi believes it does help to meet people who are *just* like me. Through her ongoing support and dedication, Angi was approached to help moderate the UK free Herpes Dating Site HDate.co.uk which she continues to play an active role in.

Angi spends many hours online assisting those newly diagnosed to come to terms with their herpes diagnosis, and offer not only support, but assist them in finding the relevant information at the best possible sites available.

Having now been approached to be the contact for the UK on a number of Herpes and HPV Help and Support sites, Angi takes great pride in being not only asked, but accepting the tasks. - Angi
