I was diagnosed with Herpes type 2 nearly 18 months ago. I'll tell you... what a shock it was!! I'm a recent divorcee, and had met a gal on the web. Things had been progressing along nicely, and she had said "Let's both go and get tested for STD's. I always do that with a new partner!!" After my results came back positive I was hurt, angry, felt like I'd never be loved, was going to be all alone, never have sex again and so much worse!! Well I learned and learned. Through a Herpes positive friend I learned of several support groups and sites. One of which is called "Picking Up the Pieces", another is "Yoshi2me". I joined and found a wealth of friendship, support and information.

Today, one of the things that brings great happiness is to be able to help others that are in the same state of mind that I was back then. Others helped me get through it. I am a much better person now for their help and support. I will try my best to do the same with you!! - Fred
