Nebraska H Pal
Hi!
My name is Angela aka Yoshi2me and I have been around the online
community since 1997. I received my everlasting gift around the
summer of 1995. You can read more about me and how my story turned
out on my
Herpes
Biography
Today I am happily married to a wonderful man who does not have
genital herpes. At least not that we are aware of. The last time he
was tested for herpes was in 1998. His test results came back
positive for HSV-1 and we believe that it is oral herpes type-1
because he does have a history of coldsores from when he was a
child. Negative were his results for HSV-1. To date, we do not
believe that he's contracted anything from me and we've been
together for 10 year this coming fall of 2008.
Currently I am working as an online
patient advocate in the capacity of a volunteer to do my best to
provide support, outreach, and those that are in need of information
about herpes, hpv, or any other sexually transmitted disease that
comes to mind.
I started the Omaha HELP herpes support group back in 1999 and while
we don't meet personally face-to-face folks in the Omaha and
surrounding areas are welcome to call the help line which is
actually my cell phone. I should probably mention that if you call
me outside of the Omaha and surrounding areas I won't be able to
return your call. So for that you might try calling the national
herpes hotline where they will be able to answer any questions that
you might have about herpes. On the flip side of that you are more
than welcome to write to me and I'll do my best to get back to you
ASAP. :)
In the spring of 2003 with the help of
a couple of really good friends, I put together a comprehensive list
of local herpes support group and social groups called the Social
Support Networking Alliance which is the long version of
SSNA
Later on down the road me and my online
buds got together and formed
the H-Pals so you can ask questions
and not feel so alone. Seriously, there isn't a single question that you
can't ask and if you don't feel like waiting for me to write you
back then you are more than welcome to stop by and check out our
message board.
I am a Mom to three beautiful girls so
I do know first hand what it's like to have a baby and wonder at the
same time if it can be done without a c-section and without putting
my babies at risk. All three of my girls were born via vaginal
deliveries. I have a 16, 4, and 2 year old and if you dig through
the site very carefully you might even find a couple of pictures!! I
do have some up for sure over on Picking Up the Pieces if you'd like
to take a peak OR if you have a
MySpace account
I've got some pics there too! And YES, giving birth to healthy
babies via vaginal deliveries can be done!! :)
I am always looking for volunteers
meaning if you'd like to write up your story and send it to me I
will be very happy to create a page as part of my site especially
for you. Volunteer H Pals, Forum Moderators, and those that just
want to participate and give back to the community are always
welcome.
If there is subject matter that hasn't
been touched upon I'll do my best to see if we can tackle that item
right here on the site. All you have to do is let me know what
you're looking for OR what you'd like to see on here that you aren't
able to find. We'll fix ya right up! -
Angela
