H Pal Home
Yes.. site was extremely helpful... and
I tested negative... but I gained alot of useful information that I
was able to use during my time of need. Thanks to you and Libby - S
My H Pal was
very good in helping me to feel not so helpless, alone, or confused. I
turned to the internet to learn more about the STD that I have and
discovered that herpes is common and that most people are very
understanding about it. I think it's a blessing that I ran into this
site and that I got to read the various
stories from other H
members. It helped me in more ways than you can imagine. Thanks
for putting together such a wonderful site. - V
Gayla was very
helpful and sent me a lot of information that I needed. I also did a lot
of research on my own and between the two feel as though I am well
informed. - F
As an H Pal Amy
was very helpful. Thank you for checking up on me. I think that you are
doing a great job with the H Pal program. - K
I was able to
make contact with Rinn. She made me feel a lot better about what was
happening in my life. I am still with my boyfriend, it's been a year now
and we are going strong. Thank you for all your help! - S
Rebecca was
great! My heart went out to her with all she had to go through.. she is
wonderful. - M
Anne was very
helpful and informative with regards to my questions. Anne made me feel
more sure of the answers that I was looking for. - P
Traci was able
to give me the advice I was looking for at the time. It was helpful and
got me over the depression hump among other things. Thank you so much! -

I
found this site most helpful. I've had herpes for almost a year now and I
find myself in denial a lot of the time. I've been with my boyfriend Pete
since I found out I had herpes. I caught it from an ex boyfriend and I had
to tell Pete when we first started dating that I had it. He was there when I
found out. I'm talking I called him about 10 minutes after my doctor called
with the diagnosis. I am so confused. There really aren't many organizations
in Rhode Island to help me, but reading your stories brings me hope. It
makes me feel a little less alone and more optimistic. I'm not as afraid of
my future. Your site is great. It shows me that I have more options than I
once thought. =o) I'm a little disappointed though that Alicia hasn't
mailed me back. I think talking to someone else who is in my situation will
help me big time. Thank you for the site! - B
I can't honestly say I used the H Pal program
as it was intended to be used because I already had a pretty good base of
knowledge and had built some great friendships through the Buffalo group and
Luanne. Luanne
has been just the most amazing influence on me and she doesn't even realize
it. So in terms of using the program and the site itself, I'm really just
educating myself on things and not using it as a newly diagnosed person
would be. I knew Luanne before I heard about the H Pal program. In terms
of Luanne helping me, she really has. I am a basically a shy person to begin
with and my sister recently commented about how I have made a real change in
myself since I met these people. Apparently the "old" me would never have
gone to a
Herpes
Social Gathering with people I didn't know... and Luanne is the reason I
did. (well, her approach was a little unconventional calling me a
chicken - but it worked. lol)
I think what you
are doing, Angela, is amazing also. You've put your heart and soul into
helping other people with this and I know it takes a lot of time and effort
on your part. I can't imagine the amount of work you really put into all
this stuff when I am surfing your site and seeing what's going on. You need
to be commended and thanked. I wish I could do more and maybe I will
someday when I'm not concentrating on other areas of my health but for
now, keep up the good work! - K
