H Balm

herpes. If you have tried
H Balm please share your positive or negative

H BALM - Have you tried it yet?
I used H Balm for
the first time last night
I was
having severe outbreaks around the anus without medical insurance -
bought every cream around without help - tried h-balm and got
instant relief - pricy - yes - but I fear medication absorbed by the
liver since I also drink. This works - I'm going to make a mixture
of the listed ingredients to save costs an will leave further
feedback - but, for me - this stuff was a freaking "silver bullet".
- D
I bought some
H Balm daily from a
health food store and thought I would use it in hopes of preventing
future outbreaks. I don't know if I am allergic to something in its
ingredients or if I just used too much, but I have itching and
redness and burning now. I was feeling better after I got the
Valtrex from my doctor and should have just waited it out
because now the H-balm has given me a whole new array of symptoms
and I was getting better! Irritating to say the last, in more ways
than one! I don't recommend the product myself. I am taking a
daily vitamin, eating right, getting eight hours of sleep or more
every night, and trying to cut back on the stress level. Hopefully
this will help curb outbreaks because I will NOT be using the
H-balm. - Susan
Just thought that I would mention to
ya'll before you think about trying
H Balm via Forces of Nature that
I personally have difficulty getting them to answer any of my
e-mails. The last e-mail that I sent out to them was on October 10,
2006 and they still have not written me back. So, you might want to
be careful where you order this stuff from. Remember, it's not a
clinically proven herpes antiviral. So keep that in mind when you
are attempting to treat your outbreaks. However, I can totally
understand if you decide to try it to treat your pain. But then
again, if you are in pain a can of dermoplast might do the trick
too.
I personally can not attest that
H Balm cures HSV, or eliminates or inactivates the HSV virus as
proclaimed. I did however purchase and use
H Balm Extra Strength to see
what this was all about. I am not on any antivirals what-so-ever. So my
experience is pretty much from a clean slate. Healthy eating (very),
lots of sleep, and a daily multivitamin was my treatment.
I had quite a big outbreak. I probably
should have hit the doc's and gotten an antiviral, but due to various
reasons I was unable to get to my doctor. By the time I got home and
H balm arrived a few days later, the outbreak was just past peak. Still
quite bothersome this is what I found:
-
Application
with a cotton swab was the easiest and cleanest method. I think it
wastes the least of this expensive stuff too
-
Don't
slather it on! This stuff is pretty strong and a few drops goes a
long way
-
It stinks
to high heaven. If you like various aromatics or incense odors, you
may even like it. My wife likes the smell. I think it stinks, though
it does smell much better (not too bad) after it airs a bit
-
A nice
soothing effect that apparently lasts quite a while. Knocked the
itching and squirmy feeling right out.
I tried
calamine (calohist) - relief didn't last very long. it was ok.
Gold Bond
Medicated Powder - real nice menthol feeling, but not very effective.
Sometimes the menthol was strong and made me sweat.
Sweat = itching + discomfort. Combining the two seemed to do better but only
lasted maybe 4 or so hours without additional powder. *apply calamine,
dry, then powder, and powder
again as follow up.
I could easily
go 8 to 10 hours on an
H Balm application. And I really didn't stink too
bad at work ;P Clothing kept it at bay I guess. When at home though I
applied more frequently.
It can burn or
feel warm upon application. I found it best to apply on clean skin.
Take a shower. Dry yourself well with a towel. I even follow up with a
blow dryer. Sometimes I wear shorts to further 'air out' for a while
before application. Seems to absorb better that way. Use multiple swabs
if you need to. I hope rubbing the swab around like that on an active
outbreak
won't spread the virus to uninfected parts. To prevent this I tried to
stay within bounds of the outbreak. If you have an outbreak near your
anus.. don't go spreading the swab down there and back up to the
genitals and elsewhere. You might spread bacteria around. Think clean
and bacteria free.. it'll help with healing later. Oh, and I used baby
wipes to clean for future
applications (if I felt necessary). Works great!
After
application it provides a warm soothing sensation. You may have itching
symptoms for a little bit.. but give it a little time. For me symptoms
were soon gone and I was VERY comfortable. Wear comfortable clothes and
cotton underwear. Going freestyle is a bad idea due to chafing risk, and
loose shorts may move around too much and rub your oiled parts. That's
my opinion - do what works for you.
Did it cure the
infection? Well, I know I was a little past peak and starting to heal in
certain spots, but the outbreak was going pretty strong. Spots still had
lesions and blisters and continued for a few days while I applied
H-balm. It wasn't a 24 hour fix-me-up. However,
H Balm seemed to keep
things moist which helped with healing, and the relief it provided
prevented inadvertent scratching which could lead to damage, further
outbreak or trouble healing. So in a way it did help.
In no way could
I verify that it 'deactivated' the virus. I don't really believe this
claim - though I can't disprove it either.
In summary: Its
expensive, but it helped a lot with my discomfort. I'll likely continue
to use it. If I have another onset, I'll try to apply it and see if I
can thwart an outbreak. Don't buy this thinking its going to cure you.
You may be expecting too much of
H Balm. If you want something that can
relieve itching that is herbal and chemical free, this is it. You can
apply this
stuff quite often and feel ok about it. If you are using something such
as
Lanacane from your local Pharmacy. Read the label. You should only
apply it some 3x a day. Some similar products cannot treat near the anus
(unsure about the vaginal area either). I guess the antibacterial agent
is bad for that region. The idea of spraying chemical products on the
nether regions frequently over a number of days isn't my thing.
H-Balm in my
opinion is great for providing relief, although at a rather high cost.
If you want to minimize the length of an outbreak. See your doctor and
get Valtrex or another antiviral. I'll be doing that next time around.
I'd rather halt this thing ASAP. From start of outbreak to recession and
healing I've broken a good 11 days so far. That's longer than I'd like
to deal with it in the future. I may need another full week before I'm
fully healed.
Word of advice:
If its not an antiviral prescribed by your doctor. It claims to heal,
deactivate and eradiate the HSV virus are most likely bogus. However,
that doesn't mean their product isn't helpful in other ways. - Gary
H Balm is a mixture of
Lemon Balm,
Ravansara, Lavender,
Melaleuca, Cymbogogon, and
Palmarosa. It's a
supposed outbreak eliminator yet it really just offers a 'soothing'
effect. I know this because I've tried it before and have a bottle right
in front of me. It's kinda like
Tea Tree
Oil; basically has the same effects. There are actually two formulas - one is the H BALM -HSV outbreak eliminator, and the other
is H BALM DAILY - HSV outbreak suppressor. The latter is a mixture of
Lemon Balm, Melissa, Geranacea, Melaleuca, Lavender, Hazelnut and
Jojoba. When I was first diagnosed I was looking crazy for a cure all.
For the price of this stuff it really ISN'T worth it. It's lasted a long
time, mainly because I don't use it that often. It has a very strong
scent, so you have to be careful where you go after you apply it to your
crotch. At least I don't think dogs would like it...;-) I wouldn't say
anything bad
about it, except that its way too expensive!!! - S
I have no association with Forces of Nature
(the maker of H-balm) and in fact have never communicated with them. I
am passing the personal experience for the benefit of the public.
I was having HSV outbreaks (OB) at intervals
of one to two months. I started using
H Balm daily and one month
afterward I had one OB in a spot that I had not applied H-balm. I used
H-balm Outbreak Suppressor and the OB was terminated in one day and the
sore started healing
immediately. It was completely healed in three days and there is no
scar. It is now six months and I have had no further OB.
There are other benefits I have found with
use of H-balm: I am 68 and am not circumcised. For the last 20 years I
have had problems with a tightening foreskin. My Dr. recommended
circumcision but I did not want to have that done so I suffered with the
problem. But with the use of H-balm the foreskin has softened and the
skin tearing and inflammation caused by the tightening are gone. This
has improved my health and enjoyment of sex tremendously.
I have found that H-balm stops inflammation
and increases the speed of healing of cuts and abrasions without leaving
a scar. A deep slice in my thumb due to an errant chef's knife healed in
four days after application of
H Balm. I did not have to use any other
antibiotics and no bandage. No scab formed. The wound healed rapidly
without any inflammation.
Applications of H-balm to sore spots on my
forehead due to sun damage (called precancerous by the Dermatologist)
have reduced the size and soreness of the spots. Some have completely
disappeared. In the past I have had to have them freeze burned off with
liquid nitrogen.
Bottom line: H-balm belongs in your first
aid kit for general medical application. You may not believe this but it
is a true and honest report. - A
As for the
H Balm, I've read posts from
people who swear by it, and others who say don't waste your money. I
guess you can only try it yourself and see how it
works for you. I think that Lidocaine gel I've heard a couple of young
ladies talk about, (their docs/gyn's prescribed it), is probably the
best thing going. Numb the whole area, and wait for the Valtrex Vitamin
to take effect. - D
The main ingredient in H balm is
tea
tree oil. You can buy a 2 ounce bottle of tea tree oil at Walmart for
under $5 ( big savings compared to the price of h balm now ). Dilute it
at least 50/50 with water and dab that on your lesions for relief and
see if that gives you relief. - B
I am one of those who Swear by
H Balm and just recently my husbands uncle experienced the worst outbreak he
has had in YEARS that caused Multiple lesions and pain. I gave him a bottle of H-Balm and within a couple of days his sores were healed. He
has jokingly said he is going to look into buying a full case. Fortunately it worked as well for him as it did for me. The thing is, if someone tries it and it doesn't have favorable results,
there is a guarantee on the product where you can be refunded. Just something to keep in mind. - G
I have H Balm and agree that it has a nice soothing effect. It kind of
makes that area that you apply it to feel like it's "heating up." It
also makes your skin smell like some sort of lemon scent. - S
The only possible "snake oil" I've tried is
H Balm,
and though I've never claimed it to be a cure or even to lessen the time
of an outbreak, I did find some relief in what it offered as just a soothing
topical - though my crotch did end up smelling like a lemon tree.
Knowing what I know now, I probably wouldn't have spent the 50 something
dollars I did on the 12 or 15 ml bottle. Valtrex works well enough for
me. It's just getting through the initial one or two years that it
takes for our bodies to get used to it. That's really all I have for
input. - S
I bought H Balm and even though I'm not sure if it
works, it does feel awesome. - Anon
I had NO benefit from
H Balm whatsoever. - D
I have used
H Balm with
success on external lesions. It burns a bit but helps speed healing. I
have also read that putting some on a tampon can be effective for
interior issues. The makers of h-balm recommend this for their yeast
products. - H
I tried
H Balm and
while it felt nice, I didn't like the smell and it really didn't seem to
do anything. - G
So far so
good with the H Balm. I use it two times a
day. It doesn't
burn or anything. I cant even
tell I put it on. I'm just hoping that
it does work as good as all the info I read about it said it does.

The biggest complaint that I have heard so far about
H Balm is that
folks are skeptical because there seems to be some sort of balm for
other skin problems. This does leave people feeling unsure of even
purchasing the product in the first place. - Angela
Bought the product and
tried it and I think it is a scam. I am skeptical of
H Balm because the
company that sells it also sells cures for almost every ailment of
mankind. I am skeptical of a company that sell cures for everything. I
did not figure this out until I bought a bottle and the instructions it
came with also was selling potions for about a dozen ailments. Each of
these potions is custom blended. Go figure!? - B
The thing about
H Balm
is so many folks go under the illusion that "more is better" well it's
NOT! With H-Balm a little dab will do ya! If you use too much, yep it's
gonna cause redness and burning. A Q Tip is a good tool to use for
applications! Keeps you from over applying. I use H-Balm along WITH
taking Valtrex or Acyclovir. I keep the Valtrex on hand so when I need
that extra Umph, but order my Acyclovir from Drugplace.com (I believe in giving equal biz to support those that
support US). It's only 20 bucks for three months supply of suppressives!
If you follow the directions on
H Balm
to the letter, it will work for
you! YES I promote the product because I BELIEVE In it. Just like I
believe in the swiffer mop Just because a product says it's "all
natural" this does not mean that you should use MORE! Use as directed
and I truly believe you will see great results. I have a friend now who
is testing his own little theory of placing H-Balm at his lower spine.
So far he claims that it is working well in suppressive form. I have
another friend who uses H-Balm for oral herpes. She has claimed GREAT
Results and even claims it got rid of her laugh lines. How kewl is THAT?
Me? I used H-Balm when my son had strep throat (he had tested at the
clinic and we did get a script for antibiotics) I took an eyedropper and
placed TWO small drops at the back of his throat, within two hours the
redness in his throat was gone and he complained of NO sore throat
whatsoever. Now did the antibiotics work THAT fast? or did H-Balm work
that well WITH the antibiotic? I truly believe the latter. In as much as
I know ibuprofen and Tylenol alternated every couple of hours keep a
fever down, I KNOW H-Balm really does work folks! Maybe not for
everyone, but it's at least worth a shot! And with a money back
guarantee, what have you got to lose? Just my two cents - Gayla
A friend of mine used
H Balm in addition to taking
Valtrex. I have never tried H-Balm
personally but then again... I am not suffering from flare ups and do
not take Valtrex for suppression any more either.
